Product Description

1. General Description

Vertebroplasty is typically performed by a spine surgeon or interventional radiologist. It is a minimally invasive procedure
and patients usually go home the same or next day as the procedure. Patients are given local anesthesia and light sedation for
the procedure.
During the procedure, bone cement is injected into the collapsed or fractured vertebra.The needle is placed with fluoroscopic
x-ray guidance. The cement quickly hardens and forms a support structure within the vertebra that provide stabilization and
strength. The needle makes a small puncture in the patient's skin that is easily covered with a small bandage after the
procedure.

2. Contraindication
      

1. Osteomyelitis, epidural cyst.
2. Vertebral compression fractures with more than 70% height loss.
3. Severe spinal cord compression or secondary spinal stenosis at the level of fractured vertebral body.
4. Severe cardiopulmonary dysfunction, coagulation disorders, sepsis and the other diseases that is not suitable for the operation.
